At Project Milk Mission, we are committed to providing culturally inclusive breastfeeding education and support. Our innovative hybrid model, combining virtual and in-person services, sets us apart and allows us to reach communities across Ohio effectively.
By empowering mothers with evidence-based guidance, we aim to foster a supportive environment where every mother, regardless of her background, can achieve optimal maternal and infant health through the promotion of human milk.

Breastfeeding Disparities
African American women are 16.7% less likely to breastfeed when compared to other races and ethnic groups.
Infant Mortality
African American infants are 3 times more likely to experience infant mortality than any other group of infants.
Disparity In Cesarean Births
Black women were 21% more likely than white women to give birth via cesarean. Women who give birth via c-section are statistically less likely to breastfeed.
Barriers To Breastfeeding Among Black Mothers
The CDC reports Black mothers disproportionately experience a number of barriers to breastfeeding, including lack of knowledge about breastfeeding; lack of peer, family, and social support; insufficient education and support from health care settings.
